Thompson’s Farm – Market

Fresh from the Orchard to You
Here’s what makes Thompson’s Farm Market different: every morning, our farm crew starts the day by harvesting that day’s fruit. They bring it down to the market while it’s still fresh from the tree. During the busy summer months, by midday the market is calling J.L. asking for more. “We need more Elbertas – someone just bought 5 boxes!”
This is real farm-fresh. When fruit carries over at our market, it’s for a night – not days or weeks like grocery store produce or second-hand fruit stands. You’re getting fruit that was on the tree hours ago, picked at peak ripeness for maximum flavor.
The market itself is always evolving. Over the years it’s been a wine tasting room, a coffee shop, a sandwich shop, and a soda fountain. The Thompson family’s creativity and commitment to agricultural tourism means there’s always something new and exciting each season. But one thing never changes: the quality and freshness of our tree-ripened fruit.
